Welcome to the Avondale School District. I’m glad that you are exploring our website. We are proud of our school district.
Avondale is a district where you will find a collaborative community of teachers, staff and families working together to assure student success.
The multi-city district includes portions of Auburn Hills, Bloomfield Township, Rochester Hills and Troy, and boasts a growing partnership with neighboring Oakland University that enriches the Avondale educational experience at a variety of levels.
At Avondale, we celebrate the richness of a diverse student population and strive to be a model school community that prepares students to be lifelong learners and contributing citizens to the world that awaits them upon graduation. 2026 Superintendent Search
Avondale School Board Seeks Input in Superintendent Search
The Avondale Board of Education has begun the search process to find a new superintendent. Assisting the Board is the Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB), a service organization that supports the work of school boards throughout Michigan.
As the profile of the ideal candidate is developed, the board will be soliciting community and staff input. Residents of the district, all staff and administration are encouraged to participate in the process.
An online survey will be available at the following URL from February 25-March 5, 2026: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NYQKKSN
Survey responses are sent directly to MASB in Lansing for tabulation. The Board will publicly consider the input received and develop a Candidate Profile, which will guide the process as candidates are recruited and selected for public interview. The board expects to select the new superintendent to begin in July, 2026.
