Avondale 2030


Developing a strategic plan for Avondale School District helps to identify the direction of the District within the framework of our mission and vision. It also outlines the goals, strategies, and actions to ensure the plan is implemented. Every year we actively work to implement the strategic plan in the classroom, around our buildings, and throughout the district.



Avondale is pleased to share that the Avondale Board of Education has officially approved our district’s new strategic plan: Avondale 2030.

This plan represents a shared vision for the future of our schools, one that reflects the voices, values, and aspirations of our entire community. Over the past year, we gathered extensive feedback from students, families, staff, and community members to ensure this plan is both thoughtful and forward-looking.

Avondale 2030 Goals & Objectives

This strategic plan is a roadmap built from a clear, shared vision of our future graduate—a student who is confident, capable, and ready to lead a life of purpose.

The plan focuses on four key commitments: Cultivating a strong culture of belonging and collaboration Delivering authentic, real-world learning experiences for all students Preparing students with the skills and mindsets needed for a rapidly changing world Strengthening Avondale as the school community families choose to be a part of

These commitments will create an experience where students will:

  • Intentionally develop the skills within our Portrait of a Graduate over their PreK-12 experience to be ready to succeed in the world.
  • Hone their critical thinking skills through their experiences in 3P (problem-, project-, and place-based) learning.
  • Gain a deep understanding of advanced technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, as a tool to support their goals - becoming technology proficient but not dependent.
  • Participate in scaffolded authentic experiences throughout their time with us, resulting in the ability to connect their content to their future and navigate the postsecondary pathway of their choice.
  • Have the flexibility and empathy to successfully collaborate with people of diverse backgrounds and perspectives.

Our mission and vision remain at the heart of everything we do, and our new strategic plan continues to reflect the shared values that guide our work across the district. 

Avondale Values:

  • A district in which staff members use instruction and performance assessment data to ensure the achievement of all learners.
  • A community that promotes, recognizes, and celebrates individual and collaborative effort and achievement.
  • A district in which staff, students, and parents utilize current technologies to aid in the learning process.
