RoboJackets K12 Robotics
RoboJackets Programs
Instilling Confidence, Fostering Independence, Igniting Agency
All Avondale Students in grades 2-12 are invited to join the RoboJackets competitive robotics programs!
RoboJackets FRC
RoboJackets FRC immerses students in a dual experience: team-based rapid iterative product development, and high energy competitive robotic sport. Students collaborate with industry coaches and mentors to deliver a robot that can play the annual game challenge.
The FIRST Robotics Competition community includes over 3,000 teams worldwide. Robots are fast and powerful, weighing in at up to 150lbs, and games are played on large game field (about the size of a volleyball court). The Avondale FRC shop includes a full-scale practice field, a unique opportunity for team members to both develop the robot and play the sport, all in our home space.
Students are eligible to join through 12th grade.
RoboJackets FTC
RoboJackets FTC scaffolds a progression of ways to play to welcome all students - from beginners interested in a recreational hobby, to robotics enthusiasts that have their sights set on victory in the competitive sphere.
The FIRST Tech Challenge community includes over 9,000 teams worldwide. Robots are tabletop sized (about the size of a microwave) and games are played on a 12 x 12 foot field.
