⚠️ All Avondale schools will be open, in normal operation tomorrow, Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

After continued coordination with city officials, GLWA, and our district Facilities team, we have been assured that all Avondale school buildings are maintaining water pressure and are safe to operate, therefore all Avondale schools will be open, in normal operation tomorrow, Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

There are no concerns regarding water quality within our buildings. Our water remains safe to drink and safe for normal use. While some buildings located closer to affected areas may experience slightly lower water pressure at times, all restrooms and essential building operations will remain fully functional and available without issue.

Families and community members are invited to attend the upcoming Community Forum today, Monday, March 9 at 6:00 p.m. at the Board Administration Office. 

This is an opportunity to share your thoughts on the qualities, experience, and leadership characteristics you would like to see in Avondale’s next superintendent.
