“These results reflect our educators’ dedication to meeting every student where they are and helping them excel,” said Dr. James Schwarz, Superintendent of Avondale School District. “We are committed to fostering growth, challenging our students academically, and ensuring they are prepared for success at every level.”
This strong academic performance aligns with Avondale’s consistent upward trajectory in both growth and proficiency across multiple grade levels and subjects. Adding to these achievements, Avondale was recently selected as one of Michigan’s Top 40 districts for literacy innovation, earning a $187,500 READ Innovation Grant from the Michigan Department of Education.
