Avondale Student Spotlight: Grace Wang

Grace Wang, 5th Grader at Avondale GATE Magnet School, recently earned a bronze medal at the 2024 North American Youth Championship and was awarded the title of Woman Candidate Master by the International Chess Federation!

This is a prestigious honor for any chess player. Congratulations Grace!

Avondale RoboJackets Advance to World Championship for 9th Consecutive Year

Avondale High School’s FIRST Robotics team, Team 3538 RoboJackets, delivered an exceptional performance at the State Championship this past weekend in Saginaw—winning 1st place in their division and finishing 2nd overall in the state of Michigan out of more than 500 teams! The team also earned the prestigious Autonomous Award, recognizing excellence in programming and robot performance.
