Avondale Guest Teaching Program

If you are looking for a flexible work schedule and the chance to make a difference, consider guest teaching! Our Avondale School District Guest Teachers are a vital element in the success of our students, and we are always looking for qualified individuals to join our team. Aside from the flexibility in scheduling, individuals typically guest teach to gain valuable experience in the classroom and the opportunity to network with teachers, administrators, and school staff.

Guest Teachers assume the responsibility of the classroom teacher for the school day by maintaining a consistent volume of high-quality instruction with accuracy and professionalism. Ideal guest teaching candidates possess a positive attitude, an overabundance of patience, and excellent verbal communication skills. You must be an energetic hard worker, dedicated to the intellectual growth and development of children, and exhibit warmth and caring.

All Guest Teachers within Avondale School District must be fingerprinted before completing enrollment forms. Please complete the fingerprint form and bring it with you to your appointment. To schedule your appointment, please visit or contact Oakland County Sheriff Department (OCSD) at (248) 858-5000 or Oakland Schools at (248) 209-2593. The Avondale School District Agency Code is 1400K.

The cost for fingerprinting for eligible employees is $49.25 (cash or cashiers check) at Oakland Schools, $69 (cash) at OCSD, and $70 for Identix (credit cards accepted).

The daily rate for Guest Teacher pay is $90 per day. Avondale School District Guest Teachers are employed through EDUStaff, LLC – Please visit to start your enrollment paperwork.
